We are having another baby!!

Wow where HAVE I been huh?? Well it's been quite a while!! We have been SO busy this summer and since my 5 year old son, Ian started school this year, I have been MIA for quite a while! I'm so sorry! Let's see where to begin!!?!?

Exciting News!!
I found out last week that we are pregnant! Amidst ALL of my medical problems which are STILL there! (adding in a long sigh and grrr!) We are soo excited though, we never thought we would have another! I could care less if it's a boy or girl! (okay okay, not true! I secretly am hoping it's a girl! ha!)

Let's see...my son, Ian is adjusting to school or rather school is adjusting to an Aspergers kiddo! ((smiles)) He's doing okay, lots of bumps, but that is expected! He's working hard and trying to learn his social cues! He usually ends up in the nurses office to chat with her once a day on some invented aliment that is bothering him! Yesterday, she caught him passing out ice packs to everyone! That's my kiddo! LOL

Gabe is doing good! He misses his brother during school but I think he is really enjoying Mommy time! Hubby is well and trying to adjust to hearing the news! Other than that, work wise, I have only created a few things for some friends of mine and things for my own home! I can't believe how busy I am with my two and doing things around the house! It's fun but crazy! I finally put up items for Halloween to get the house all ready!! I cannot believe it's already here! Hope you all are well and sorry I have been MIA for SO LONG!! Big hugs!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Independance Day full of fun! We went to a friends house to watch some fireworks, then shot off some fireworks with the kiddos! We decided to come down to celebrate Drew's (my niece), 13th birthday! We also got to celebrate Mallory's day with our family and it was wonderful. Then my Grandmother flew in to be with us as well! A very wonderful day for being with family and friends!!

Hopefully I'll be around a little bit more when Ian starts Kindergarden this fall! Summer tends to be a crazy time! Both of my kiddos are doing great, we change meds every so often and tweak but they are healthy and happy! FINALLY! YAY!! As for me, I'm doing better, I still have some tests on my polyps they found but I'm hopeful and have faith everything will work out! Truthfully, I haven't been concentrating on that, a friend of mine and I are actually talking about craft shows and if we are going to participate, so my mind has been wandering to work lately and waiting patiently till Ian goes back to school!

I have a wonderful announcement too, my cousin Kristen is getting married too! I'm SO excited for her! Here is John & Kristen, they make such a cutie pie couple! Here's a picture of them, it's one of my fav's!

And I saved the best for last, finally new pictures of my newest Nephew Garrett! Here he is all decked out in his Razorback gear! He looks exactly like my big brother!

I hope you all are well and your 4th's were wonderful! Hope to hear how you all are and to get to some blogs! Until then, smiles and hugs all around!!

Hanging out in Arkansas!

Hi everyone!
Well I am back home for a little while recoving from some knee problems. My wonderful niece Drew, she has stayed by my side helping me every step of the way and helped so much with the kiddos! Above is a picture of Drew and Gabe hanging out together!

Here's Gabey playing in a cooler and having lots of fun!

My kiddos are doing so great now, meds are regulated and they are doing so much better!! Ian unfortuntely missed Summer School for Kindergarden prep, but I think spending a week in Arkansas with his cousins made up for it! Let's see, for me, I am still going through some tests, everytime they find something different...doctors have too many tests they put us through, it's a LONG drawn out process!! lol! We are good though AND I am creating! Which is so nice to get back too, not too much, I just started back and it will be at my time right now. I am working more on sculpting a few pieces right now for Halloween!

Here are a few pictures of the cuties having fun! Here is Gabey sitting in the cooler and having fun!

Here's the boys sitting on the couch after a long day!

The boys have had so much fun swimming, playing with their cousins! We are off to home tomorrow, since I still can't drive with my knee and am still in an immobilizer, I'll be traveling home tomorrow night! Fun! I hope you all are well! Until next time, hugs and smiles!

Finally getting to share a few creations!

Here we go! Since I have been promising pictures, here are a few creations I have made for my Mom! I will take pictures of my house when I get home and share those! I know we are past Easter, but I finally got to take pictures being at my Mom's this weekend for Ian's birthday and she wanted bunnies! So these are the creations I made for her birthday! She collects bunnies!

The first is a Bunny Make-do from my own pattern! It was fun making it and drawing up the ears! It has an antique spool and the nose is needle felted with my pal Ann's wonderful wool from Crowing About Primitives! I luckily stocked up a few months ago! It also has it's tag that says "Hip Hop" and is adorned with a rusty bell! His eyes are handpainted and with seperate handstiched lids! He was so fun to make!

The second is a SHP pattern, I changed the painting technique and made it look chocolaty! She wanted a little more primitive and simple pattern, so I opted not to have the chickies on it. But she loves it! Well there ya go! As promised! HOpe you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Girls!!

How's everyone been!! I need to post more! I know, I know! Thank you all for your emails, posts, and kind thoughts! I'll still be taking more time off for me. I have a few tests I'm going through right now and doc will let me know on Monday after the biopsy how we are! I'll let you all know too as well! BUT, things haven't slowed me down....I've been creating though every now and then. A great bunny make-do for my Mom and some things for around my house! It's been nice to just be around the family and take it easy!

Let's see, I know several of you have asked about my boys. They are well right now. They have been trying out different meds on both of them so that's a tad hectic till they find the right ones. Ian is adjusting well and will be starting kindergarten this fall! EEK! He turned five this past week! Where does the time go! I'll post pictures when I get a longer opportunity too!

Gabriel is doing well. They have found out some things about his heart, he has a murmer and inlarged ventricle and they are going to just watch him right now. They believe it's physiological, meaning my little boy's impulsiveness and autism is what's going on and causing it. So we'll see how his meds will help! But it is getting better for both of them which matters the most!

I hope you all are well and creating away, hopefully I'll get an opportunity to visit some of my friends! Thank you ALL for your support and I just want you all to know I miss you all VERY MUCH and love ya! Let me know how you all are!! I love reading your posts and emails! Many hugs to you all!
Love~Shay

I know it's been quite a while..............

Hi Everyone...
I am so sorry I haven't been around to answer emails and to let you all know what is going on. I hate to always have such down posts though! I am taking time off to be with my boys right now and I know I have been fairly vague and secretive in the past but I know now that I have been gone for too long away from my blogging buddies and friends to not let you in on some things happening so, I'll let you know why I have been away.

My sweet little Gabe has been through so much lately. His poor little two year old body has gone through much testing. At his behavioral visit to Kansas City two months ago, his doctor noticed his BP has never registered normal. Meaning it's always high. Usually it's 130's/80's with a heart rate of 120's or higher (once it was 145). So she put him through quite the testing of scans and blood withdrawals! She tested to see if there was a tumor, thyroid, and a vein to the kidney being small. All turned out normal but his BP still persist high and his heart rate as well. She went on vacation for two weeks and during that time little one developed strep throat that his brother so graciously brought home to share with the family! He then developed an allergic reaction to Penicillin, back to the doctor! Then I was down in Fayetteville for Valentines, DH and I finally got a night out! First one in a year! My parents didn't want to call me and disturb our date. Finally they did. He had a high fever when we arrived and blood was coming out of his ear! To the ER!! She then noticed after she evaluated his ear that he has an irregular heart beat and she could hear a murmer!!! I was so scared!! EKG was normal but she reassured me that didn't mean much and that he needed to be seen at Children's again. SO now my little one is still sicky and is up to Children's again for more testing in April this time for his heart and Blood pressure to be evaluated at two clinics the kidney and cardiac unit.

This brings me to my next boy. He had been having Gastro problems and they ran tests as well on him for wheat allergens, thyroid, etc. since he has Asbergers. He isn't thanks goodness and is still currently on meds that they have changed around for the month. If it's not better, Ian goes back for a endescopy to see if there is something wrong with the esophogus. As far as mental, many have asked if he has been okay since Colleen died. Everyday is a new day for Ian. With Asbergers any change in their routine is extremely hard, but a tragic change like this is taking time and he is getting a new play therapist to adjust because he isn't adjusting well to it. Many days it's all I can do to make him go to school but I know he can do it. SO it's a day by day process.

For me, I have had the pleasure of tests as well and meds thrown at me too. I have tested positive for an Auto Immune Disease that I'm not yet ready to devulge because they still have to confirm it with another series of test, then it's off to the Rhumetologist for testing further. I am on an array of meds to help with things and inflammation and helps me to function right now. All of this came about after I lost my last child and they began to run tests on why. So put together Auto Immune and Miscarriages and you'll know which disease.

Other than that we are well. I know your probably asking, um Shay...is there a "well" after the bombs you just dropped on us?? Yes there is. I am spending so much time with my kiddos and wonderful husband. I'm also seeing my Mother and Father much more because they come up for doctor's visits to help us out on the all day visits to the hospital. I have realized all I can do right now is be there for my family and help to build my kids up when they have bad days. That's what I am here for. Hang in there with my sweet friends, I'll be back soon and thanks for sending all your wonderful encouraging emails, although I haven't had the time to respond, I think about each of you often and pray for you daily. Blessings and hugs to you all~
Shay

FABRIC & WOOL OVERSTOCK SALE! ~Quality Quilt & Wool~

Well, I have been cleaning out some of my fabric stashes and decided to sell some off. I have many 1/2 yards, perfect for making dresses, collars, and cone hats. Also I have a few colonial prints in the mix that are 1 yard a piece. All of my prints are quality quilt fabrics coming from quilt shopes! And for much better prices, I've marked them down to get rid of them, I have too much fabric! Then I am selling off a few 1/2 yards each of hand-dyed wool. This is from my wool lady in Liberty, MO and she hand dyes it. I love her wool. Also, I have tons of trim so I will be selling off that and some Martha Stewart Glitter. I use this on most of my dollies, again I have another package and too much. I will take off what sells when it goes. PLEASE ORDER BY NUMBER!! Remember too that quilt shop fabric usually goes between 8-9.75 a YARD...most of my 1/2 yards are going for a price of a fat quarter! Which is good!

~Payment~
I will send an invoice through Paypal. I will also take money orders or personal check as well. (order will be held till payment clears the bank which is 3-4 days).

~Shipping~
Shipping will be a flat rate envelope and be $4.80 within the US, buy it and I will ship it out the next day! I will number these for easier ordering!!
